CMA's Flying Field


  • The current Collins Model Aviator flying site is 1 mile north of the intersection Central City road and Alice road. Travel 1 mile north on Alice road from this intersection to Martinson sod farm on the right.
  • You can get to Alice road from traveling north on Centerpoint road in Hiawatha.
  • North on Alburnett road from Marion to Central City road then head West to Alice Road.
  • North on 10th street from Marion to County Home road then west to Alburnett Road or Centerpoint Road.
  • If you are coming from south of town on 380, take the Toddville/Robins exit, then East to Center Point Rd. then North to Alice Rd.



Special Rules for the Spring Season:
  1. Park on the right side of the gravel drive in the grass area.
  2. Avoid parking in gravel lot. (this is so we don't block equipment)
  3. Fly on the grass facing east of the work shop and house.
This map is an approximation and not to scale. Use your best judgment for setting up the pit area. Note the location of the helipads. They will be to the side of the pit area and on the upwind side of the runway.
